BIO

Riitta Peirone graduated from Sheridan College of Art and Design in Ontario and commenced on a career in Educational Publishing as a book designer and illustrator. Always keen to travel, she spent some time in Italy studying art. In 1986 she discovered the beauty of the West Coast and made the move to Vancouver to free-lance as a graphic artist. Her home on the North Shore is an inspiration for many of her paintings, as well as her travels near and far. While drawing and painting had always been a part of Riitta’s life, the decision to be a full-time painter came eventually and now it is a full-time passion.
